I Left for Siheung to Re-Discover Myself for a Day. (One-day tour course)

  • It was Oido (Island), a place I visited with an overwhelming expectation that I would have my own time alone for a day.
    It is an ideal destination for a one-day tour, Easily accessable by the subway near by. You can enjoy the aroma of the sea shell and raw fish dishes. Subway Line No. 4 took me all the way to Oido (Island).
  • After checking the transportation service schedule, I started out toward Siheung Gaetgol Ecological Park. I got off the bus at the entrance to the Park after passing a wide open road which was newly paved. The short walk along the farming path gave me a filling of reminiscence that I was going to my grandmother???s home in the countryside. At that point, I had an urge to photograph the scenic view.

    I envied the family visitors around me. I also felt warm friendship when I saw friends who came to the Park with their lunch. I ran on the Greenway, while others enjoyed riding on the wide open route.
  • I then visited Siheung Gaetgol Ecological Park which has a very romantic reed bush. The salt shed made me feel that I had come by a time machine. I thought I would surely come here to confide with my love. When I rode my bike along the well paved Greenway, I soon arrived at Gwangokji and Lotus Theme Park.
    Lotus flowers extend endlessly. I had never seen so many lotus flowers. I heard many things about lotus flowers from the farm owner who served me with a cup of lotus tea.
    Gwangokji right next to the Park was well maintained.
    A kind-looking old couple welcomed me with affectionate smiles.
    Oh, I wish it would be in my front yard!
  • I left Gwangokji to have roasted shells enjoying the orange sunset at Wolgot Estuary. This is surely a paradise.
    I have nothing else to envy than this beautiful scene.

Siheung Gaetgol Ecological Park - Greenway - Oido (Island) Sunset

Oido (Island) overshadowed by the sea aroma was crowded with young couples and family tourists.
???Surely, more people come to visit here,??? I felt it was rather regrettable somehow that my exclusive secret is lost to these people.
Parents who brought their kids are quite excited at the wetland experience yard. Ah, I would have run into the mud if I had brought an extra set of clothing! Oh, only wish I had bought clothes. Next time, I will jump into the mud together with a friend of mine.

After talking rest, I could see the west sea where sitting on a bench of the embankment, the sky soon turned into a beautiful orange color. I took a photo of the famous west sea sunset. Would it be like this in nature? I said to myself, the west sea and sky all turned into one beautiful veiw.
I wouldn???t miss this for the world. I bought some sea products at Oido (Island) fish market to cook some tasty dishes to enjoy with my parents at home.
I felt some affection though bargaining with the women selling fish and shells at the nearby market making laughters.
I felt my body, fully cleansed when I headed toward Oido Station merry in heart. The lonely hours I spent after a long day will remain with me as a romantic memory that I could would recall again and again. I got on the subway train thinking of the amusing weekend.
